UNFOLDED BY THE WATER ARE THE FACES OF THE FLOWERS

UNFOLDED BY THE WATER ARE THE FACES OF THE FLOWERSUNFOLDED BY THE WATER ARE THE FACES OF THE FLOWERSUNFOLDED BY THE WATER ARE THE FACES OF THE FLOWERS

UWĒ KA LANI, OLA KA HONUA

When the Sky Weeps, the Earth Revives

A Hawaiian poetical truth which teaches all life on Earth thrives in health when gifted with plentiful rain from the watershed.

There is no life without fresh water.

`Ōlelo No`eau #2888

Kaua`i's Water is our Kumu

Because we use 100% pure steam-distilled hydrosol to create our healing products, the quality of water we use in distillation is essential. We hand-collect mountain spring water from a small aquifer at the base of Pali Wainiha and Maunahina Stream, on the north shore of the island.

This watershed is directly connected to Mount Wai`ale`ale, producing an average of 472 inches of rain per year. This sacred rainmaker calls in moisture laden clouds from across the wide Pacific, and then alchemizes condensation and precipitation, which then travels the length of the verdant wilderness, down to the tributaries that carve through Kaua`i's volcanic rock and mossy streams.

Our humility in gathering and our small-scale production allows us to offer the utmost care to this spring, and we treat her as we would treat

a powerful Kumu (source, teacher).

We ask permission, we take only what we need, and we bring offerings of

reverence, chant, and aloha.
